Event Description
October is a time to celebrate women–it is marked in Vietnam by highlighting the achievements and fortitude that women bring to their communities. October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, marked in countries across the world to increase awareness and early detection of this disease.
AmCham’s Women in Leadership Committee and Nike present an October Wellness event in tribute to this month’s recognized women’s day in Vietnam and the international month-long breast cancer awareness campaign.
Join us after work at Nike’s corporate office with an interactive session* to support meditation and stretching for stress and balance, led by an experienced yoga instructor. The event will also include a panel session with physicians and other health professionals on breast cancer and screening, programs and supports to help those affected from early detection and through every stage of life. The panel will also share more insights on how women wellness supports professional goals and achievements with a balanced and happy life.
*All guided movements are designed for office stress-reduction, and can be done at the event in your work/professional attire. No need for yoga mats or work-out clothing.

We live in a modern environment in which we are increasingly ‘switched on’ all the time. As the demands for our physical presence, mind space, and attention increase, we need something to help keep our systems healthy and balanced.

Robin is a native of the Pacific Northwest and now makes her home in Ho Chi Minh City after 8 years in China. She feels lucky to be a part of the vibrant yoga culture of Vietnam. In 2016, she completed her 200 hour training with Suzanne Vian at Jiva Yoga Saigon, a Yoga Alliance School. In 2018, she completed her 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training in the FluidUs Method with Carlos Tao. Additionally, she completed her training and certification for teaching both Prenatal and Children’s Yoga.

Minh Nguyen, oversees the Vietnam market for Aetna International in Asia Pacific. Chris Blank spent nearly 10 years in the financial services industry, holding several senior managerial positions, including a key role in the development of the largest securities trading and brokerage firm by market share in Vietnam, before establishing Pharmacity.

Chris Blank has been the chair of Healthcare Committee since 1 Dec 2018 until the next 2020 Committee Board election. The Committee represents for more than 70 members of the AmCham Vietnam Healthcare Network. Chris Blank shall be responsible to lead the Committee to fulfill its vision which is using the resources available through the Chamber, other international business organizations, and the respective member companies to define and advocate for improvements in the delivery and regulation of healthcare to build an international standard system in Vietnam.
Chris Blank holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, and a Doctorate in Pharmacy degrees from The University of Houston since 2006. His leadership skills have been strengthened over the years through joining personal improvement courses held by the Landmark Forum, and many executive leadership training courses held by Landmark’s parent company the Vanto Group.
