FULBRIGHT UNIVERSITY VIETNAM TO HOST CONFERENCE TO MARK THE 27TH ANNIVERSARY OF NORMALIZED DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS BETWEEN VIETNAM AND THE U.S.
2022 marks the 27th anniversary of normalized diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the U.S. Fulbright University Vietnam is honored to coordinate with U.S. Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City to host a conference themed “The bilateral relationship between the United States and Vietnam under U.S. President Joe Biden,” to be held on August 05, 2022.
After Vietnam and the U.S. normalized diplomatic relations in 1995, the cooperation between the two countries has achieved great success, where trust is deepened, investments are advanced, and highlights are made in such fields as security areas, technology, education, human resource, and people-to-people. As both countries went through major changes in our governments, it is significant to re-analyze both administrations’ strategies towards each other and the prospects amidst the upcoming mid-term election in November 2022 in the U.S.
Originated from the Fulbright Economics Teaching Program, now the Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management, Fulbright University Vietnam is the epitome of the bilateral relationship between the U.S. and Vietnam. The upcoming conference hosted by Fulbright will gather senior officials, senior researchers and experts to discuss the situation and prospects of the bilateral relationship in the current circumstances, the development of people-to-people ties and the prospects for economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and the United States:
