Aris Wong
Managing Director at BMS Group Aris Wong is a Managing Director of BMS Asia and leads the M&A insurance practice. Aris has more than 12 years of legal and insurance experience focused on M&A transactions and is admitted to the Singapore Bar. Aris advises clients on M&A insurance solutions, focusing predominantly on Warranties & Indemnities, Tax Liability, and Contingent Liability. Prior to joining BMS, Aris worked for one of the largest global insurance broking firms where she led the M&A insurance practice in South East Asia. |
Jerome Buzenet
Partner and Managing Director at DFDL Legal & Tax Jerome is the Managing Director of DFDL Legal & Tax in Vietnam. He is based in Ho Chi Minh City and also co-heads DFDL Legal & Tax’s Regional Corporate & Commercial Practice and Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. His practice focuses on M&A, private equity and restructurings, in Vietnam and the wider Mekong region. Jerome has strong expertise and on-the-ground experience advising investors in complex local and cross-border corporate and asset transfer transactions in various industry sectors, including insurance, financial services, real estate and construction, information technology, manufacturing, energy, among others. He has advised domestic and international corporations, private equity funds, banks and financial institutions, industrial firms, state-owned enterprises, and government departments. Jerome qualified as a French Lawyer (Avocat) and went on to further studies at Oxford University through the LL.M program in English law. Before this, he obtained a postgraduate Master’s Degree in Business and Tax Law at La Sorbonne-Paris I. Permanently based in Vietnam since 2004, Jérôme also advises on projects and finance matters. He is recognized as a leading practitioner by all of the Chambers, Asia Pacific Legal 500 and IFLR 1000. |
Huong Trinh
Partner at BDA Partners Huong Trinh is a Partner based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Before joining BDA in 2018, she worked at PwC (Vietnam) for over 10 years with a focus on investment banking, due diligence services, valuations and market entry services. Over the past 15 years, Ms. Huong has been a buy and sell-side lead advisor on various sectors including the logistics, pharmaceuticals, industrials and consumables sectors. Recent transactions she supported include Ngoc Nghia’s sale to Indorama Ventures, Concung’s sale of minority stake to Quadria Capital, Duy Tan’s 70% divestment to SCG, ThiPha Cable’s divestment to Stark Corporation, Capital raises of Seedcom and Kim Dental. Ms. Trinh holds a Masters Degree (Distinction) in International Business from the University of Dundee, UK and a Bachelor’s Degree (First Class) from the Foreign Trade University of Vietnam. She is fluent in Vietnamese and English. |

Head of Warranty and Indemnity insurance, Morrison & Foerster, Singapore Having spent more than 18 years acting for clients in a wide range of corporate matters (including M&A, private equity, strategic alliances and joint ventures), including 15 years based in Singapore working on cross border Asian M&A and investment deals, Maria has a vast amount of experience across the region. She also established and leads Morrison & Foerster’s global Warranties & Indemnities Insurance (W&I) and Transaction Risks advisory practice and will soon be joining RiskPoint (a global multi-line Insurance Managing General Underwriting Agency), to launch their Singapore office and expand their Asian M&A insurance business. Maria is widely recognised as one of the leading Warranties & Indemnities experts in Asia, having advised insurers on Warranties & Indemnities insurance in the region since 2008. She has advised on Warranties & Indemnities policies across Asia including with respect to businesses in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, South Korea, China, Japan and Thailand and across a range of industry sectors including manufacturing, retail, real estate, energy and environmental services, financial services, data centres and healthcare.
