AmCham Vietnam HCMC & Danang’s ESG and Manufacturing Committees, in collaboration with AmCham Hanoi’s Environment and Climate Action Committee, invite you to a closed-door roundtable discussion exploring how companies are adapting their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and sustainability strategies amid a rapidly shifting global context. The session will be held simultaneously in Hanoi and HCMC under the Chatham House Rule.
Recent political and regulatory developments in the United States have introduced new challenges—and in some cases, a reframing—of corporate sustainability initiatives, particularly those related to climate action and diversity, equity, and inclusion. At the same time, Vietnam and other export markets are introducing stricter regulations requiring greater transparency and accountability around supply chains and environmental impact.
To frame the discussion, we are pleased to feature keynote insights from leading government affairs and political risk analysts, who will offer perspectives on the evolving policy environment in the US and its implications for American businesses in Vietnam.
Following the keynote remarks, American manufacturers and other participating firms will be invited to join an open roundtable dialogue to share their experiences, concerns, and strategies. In particular, the discussion will explore:
- How are your sustainability commitments evolving in today’s global and local context?
- What new challenges are you facing in meeting those commitments?
- What practical steps are you taking to adapt to these pressures?
- What key messages or recommendations can we bring back to policymakers in the US or Vietnam?
This roundtable offers a valuable opportunity to exchange insights, share best practices, and collectively navigate the evolving ESG landscape.
Note: Under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information shared at the event, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of speakers or other participants may be disclosed.
