Managing Director, UL Solutions Vietnam
A resident of HCMC, Mathieu Do currently serves as Managing Director for UL Solutions Vietnam. A global leader in applied safety science, UL Solutions (NYSE: ULS) transforms safety, security and sustainability challenges into opportunities for customers in more than 110 countries. UL Solutions delivers testing, inspection and certification services, together with software products and advisory offerings, that support our customers’ product innovation and business growth.
UL Solutions has been present in Vietnam since 2007, the company implements a number of local customized programs, including opening 2 labs in order to provide Test, Inspection and Certification services. UL Solutions helps customers to Access global markets and increase speed to market while protecting brand reputation. (in line with US-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership and also others trade agreements).
Previous to his current position, Mathieu spent 20 years in the semiconductor industry in Europe and Asia, including 5 years in Vietnam as Country Manager for STMicroelectronics where he worked closely with local enterprises and government to promote the electronics industry, 2 Years in Microsoft as public Sector Director contributing to the development of the IT industry in Vietnam, 2 Years in Schindler as Northern Managing Director to contribute developing urbanization, and 7 Years in Lectra as General Director to provides solutions to all manufacturers in Textile and garment industry.
He has served as Vice President of the French Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, and also as Governor of AmCham Hanoi, a member of the Corporate Advisory Board of the CFVG business school. Mathieu earned an MBA, a Master in Sciences and Materials, and a Degree in Electronic Engineering in France.
With his multicultural experiences and government-related business experiences, Mathieu can contribute to promote trade in Vietnam, help build good business ethics, contribute to the committees ESG, Manufacturing and Energy and facilitate trade.
Statement of Interest
With my multicultural experiences and government-related business experiences, being in Vietnam for 16 years, and particularly as director of UL Solutions, a 130 years American company providing Test, inspection and certification services for different industries, with the mission of helping our customers to deliver good quality, sustainable and safe products to the world: I would like to contribute to promote trade in Vietnam, help build good business ethics, participate to the committees ESG, Manufacturing. In UL Solutions we also bring our expertise and advisory services for investment in the sector of sustainable energy (wind, solar): I would wish to share with Energy working group too.
